LARGE, LIBERAL, URBAN, OPEN AND AFFIRMING, JUST PEACE,
SOCIAL JUSTICE CHURCH
Responsibilities
-
Church
School including selecting and maintaining curriculum; teacher
recruiting, training and scheduling; budgeting; and
program development.
-
Hiring, supervising, training and scheduling nursery
and childcare staff for church events.

Vacation
Church
School and special events involving Children and
Youth.
-
Coordinating Children and Youth participation in
wider church activities and programs.
-
Developing and resourcing new programs for involving
our children and youth within the wider community
Qualifications
-
Ability to pass a background and fingerprint
clearance.
-
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of
related experience.

Must
share the liberal theology, “open and affirming” and
social justice stance of First Congregational Church
of Long Beach.
-
Excellent communication (both verbal and written)
skills, and the demonstrated ability to build
constructive relationships with adults, children,
and youth.
Salary
$50,000
per year plus benefits
